NOW PUBLISHED PAC IOU, Inclusive Opportunities for Universal Packaging Initiative Launched PAC is committed to championing diversity and accessibility in package brand design, innovation, and manufacturing. Our international leadership committee created the brand, PAC IOU, Inclusive Opportunities for Universal Packaging to make meaningful change for all.
Purpose: To champion packaging design by everyone, for everyone.
The committee is led by co-chairs Gavin Greenhalf, Creative Director at Aire Global Design, Sam Latif, Company Accessibility Leader at Procter & Gamble, Teres Rodney, Independent Consultant, and Andrea May, the Director of Communications at PAC. The international group brings a diverse mix of representation from organizations from across the value chain; from producers to retailers and brand agencies to waste management. “At PAC, we recognize the importance of accessibility and diversity in our community including package design, innovation and manufacturing,” says James D Downham, President & CEO at PAC. “We are committed to playing a central role in supporting our members in necessary strategic transformation to advance diversifying all workplaces through education, PAC Awards categories, students and scholarships, while embedding accessibility in all package innovation and design decisions.” Furthering PAC’s pledge to advancing inclusivity and accessibility for the packaging industry we have created what we believe is the first of its kind, a new PAC IOU category in the 2022 PAC Global Awards.
